Ok, here’s today’s question… How long do you spend imaging a target?
A pretty broad question considering the variables..
I was out last night and got 2 hours on M101 with the OSC CCD. Subs were 600s each with no star trailing. Sky was decent, moon was around giving off a bit of light..
Ran them through a quick process earlier, looks ok at the moment… I asked myself I wonder how more time I should invest getting data on M101?
I’ve read loads of in depth research… but I still think the best info comes from your typical amateur AP’er
