Hey. I know only I can truly answer this question, but I was wondering what other people’s opinions would be. I am going on a family trip (6 adults and 4 children) to Kos in the next few weeks, and I was thinking of taking my dSLR with me. However, I am undecided on which lens to take. I currently have a Nikon D5300 with the kit 18-55mm, a 70-300mm and a 35mm prime. I doubt I will have much room to take more than one. Our holiday is a family one, so largely beaches and swimming pools, but we are planning a trip to a volcano.
My gut is to take the 18-55 for a bit more range than the 35mm, however the IQ ain’t as great. The 70-300 does have a lot better range though, particularly for any wildlife near the coast etc. However it probably won’t be as useful for family shots and also weighs a bit.
What would your decisions be?
I didn’t find the right solution from the Internet.
