This disc is not an iris-type structure, it is rather a single round leaf with no aperture, which appears to completely obstruct the lightpath when deployed between individual burst shots.
The owner manual for this camera makes no reference to any mechanical shutter, yet clearly, there is a mechanical element involved in burst shooting.
Can anyone here “shed some light” on what this “burst-shutter”might be all about??
